Period Cottage Garden
This smaller garden is the perfect escape for its owners – a place for them to relax in away from the stresses of the city.
A large south-facing terrace sits at the far end of the garden, surrounded by scented plants and herbs. across the large lawn, past beds full of flowering shrubs and Summer flowering perennials.
An orchard was planted using indigenous Norfolk fruit trees, with drifts of pheasant eye daffodils and paths mown through the long grass. A traditional mixed field hedge protects the trees from the prevailing winds.
The front garden is more contemporary with stepped grass terraces, beds of box hedging massed with irises, and white and black tulips in the Spring. Pleached ornamental hawthorn trees line the low boundary wall for Spring blossom and Autumn berries.
