This landscaping scheme for a courtyard, car park and new access road accompanies the award winning Holkham Studios redevelopment on the Holkham Estate which was completed in 2015. The historic Grade II* Estate Workshops and Clock Tower were converted to a new contemporary studio which is now the company headquarters of the international jewellery brand Monica Vinader.
The large courtyard was planted with semi mature Hornbeam trees and evergreen oak hedging - both species being symbolically and historically linked to the Estate. There is a large central lawn for lunchtime football, massed sculptural plantings framing the main vistas and entrance to the site, with scented lavender hedges near to seating areas and contemporary hardwood furniture.
A new car park and access road through the historic C18 parkland were created to service the offices. The car park is set amongst native fruit trees and hedge planting, with sustainable locally sourced gravel surfacing, traditional timber fencing and a native grassland meadow.
