Classical English Garden
A classically redesigned garden with formal treatment near the house and less formal areas further away. Shape, interest and privacy were key requirements for the owner who is a keen gardener.
Timeless english garden elements appear throughout the garden - brick paved paths, wooden benches as viewstoppers, a scented courtyard garden, a sandstone terrace furnished with Versailles planters, garden ‘rooms’ created with espaliered fruit trees and hornbeam hedges and a large formal lawn framed by lavender and yew hedges. At the far end of the garden sits a large urn in long grass next to a statuesque poplar tree and overlooking views across the meadow.
